The history of Glenade House:
Colonel JJ Cullen built Glenade House 1837 in neo classical style with imposing cut stone front featuring 10 round stone pillars. Built of limestone the house is in original condtion, external as internally. It changed owners in the early 20th century to Thomas & Eliza Scorscadden, then after World War two Mr. Keaney, a practising solicitor was the proprietor up to the 1980. The present owner used the property as a summer residence to come to from mainland Europe.
It offers 3 levels, the principle rooms on ground level with Georgian layout, former kitchens and storage quarters on basement level and servants’ quarters at roof level.
